Google has quietly added a new 5 terabyte (TB) plan to its Google One storage options. 9To5Google was the first to notice the change, reporting that the 5TB plan is now available for $25. Google One covers an array of different Google apps, like Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos. Now that it has removed the unlimited storage option from Google Photos, having Google One is the best way to ensure you never run out of storage space in your Google Drive. Previously, Google only offered 100 gigabyte (GB), 200GB, 2TB, 10TB, 20TB, and 30TB plans. However, now it has a 5TB plan that acts as a nice middle ground for those who needed more than 2TB, but less than 10, and for those who don’t want to spend $50 a month on cloud storage. It doesn’t look like the 5TB plan offers any other benefits, so if you don’t need more storage, you’re probably better off sticking with whatever plan you already have. As always, Google One customers also get access to Google’s mobile VPN service, as well as 10 percent off Google Store purchases and purchase points in the Play Store.
