According to Apple’s system status page, the Apple Card outage affects users’ ability to make payments, manage their cards, and see recent transactions. The page details that the outage started Wednesday morning at 9:17 a.m. ET and that users are still experiencing problems as of the time of this publishing.  Lifewire reached out to Apple for comment on the outage and when users could expect Apple Card to work again, but has not yet received a response.  The Apple Card system rarely goes out of service, and the last time it was down was in November. That outage lasted only a few hours, so hopefully Wednesday’s issue is resolved sooner rather than later.  The Apple Card was introduced in 2019 as Apple’s version of a digital wallet, but until the outage is solved, you’ll have to keep your actual credit or debit card handy, or else use cash for purchases you make today.  Wednesday’s outage also affects the Apple Card Family feature that just debuted last week in the iOS 14.6 update. The Apple Card Family support allows users to share their card with other family members (up to five people), including anyone 13 years or older in your Family Sharing group. Apple Card Family also adds support for families to track expenses, manage spending with optional limits and controls, and build credit together.  Update: Apple reports the outage was resolved at around 3:19 PM ET on Wednesday.
